Tips and Tricks On How To Keep Your Bathroom Spotless
The bathroom is the place whereby hygiene comes to the forefront. After all, it is a room dedicated to getting washed. Because of this, it’s fair to say that the need to keep the room itself clean is even more crucial too. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really make much sense to get washed in a room that’s dirty does it?
Nonetheless, cleaning isn’t always an easy challenge, and thus you should use the following tips to give you a hand for when it comes to maintaining a spotless bathroom…
The Soap Scum Solution
Getting rid of those horrid soap scum marks can certainly be a pain. They may be stubborn but thankfully there is a solution, and what’s more is that it involves household goods. All you need to do is mix a bowl of water with some white vinegar. This should be enough to get rid of those pesky marks. Of course you will need to make sure you rinse the area afterwards too!
Let There be Light, Let There be Air
It is crucial that you let both air and light into the bathroom. So many people have a shower, let the bathroom steam up, and then simply leave it. This is why you end up with such a cleaning task on your hands. If you don’t promote air circulation or allow light into the room then you are promoting the growth of mildew. Make sure you open a couple of windows once you have had a shower.
Mildew: You are not Welcome Here
In the previous point the pesky mildew was mentioned. Not only can a lack of air and light promote the growth of mildew, but so too can the combination of your products and the grout between the tiles. This is because grout is porous. When it absorbs oils from different products, such as soaps, it can then lead to the growth of mildew. In order to combat this you should use a soft yet bristled brush and the following mixture; water (10 parts) and bleach (1 part). Once you have done this it is always good to get rid of the bleach. You can use a PH neutral cleaner for this.
Don’t Forget About Your Shower Curtains
Poor shower curtains – they very rarely get a wash. A lot of people forget to clean their shower curtains; probably because they are in contact with water on a daily basis and thus people don’t see the need. However, it is crucial you wash these on a regular occasion. Most shower curtains are perfectly fine to be washed in the washing machine so this shouldn’t cause you too much trouble.
Don’t Throw Away Your Old Toothbrush
And least but not least, don’t throw away your old toothbrushes. You should always keep one handy because these work as fantastic cleaning tools. They are perfect for getting into corners and other awkward places. For example, there is no better way to clean the plug chains then with a toothbrush – it works a treat!
This gives you an idea that we can basically use any useful tool to keep our bathroom spotless.
